From Sesimbra to Alqueva

    Ponto 1

    Sesimbra

Just 40 minutes away from Lisbon, Sesimbra is a true gem with amazing landscapes comprising mountains merging with the sea. The drivers met here to have dinner, briefing and spend the first night.

  • Ponto 2

    Comporta

After crossing the beautiful Serra da Arrábida we took our fellow drivers to Comporta, costal village with splendid calm beaches and holiday destination to celebrities such as Christian Louboutin, Carla Bruni and Madonna. To get there the drivers took a ferry boat in order to cross the river Sado and enjoyed the company of some dolphins who decided to ride along.

    Ponto 3

    Évora

Alentejo is known for good food and fine wine. It's capital, Évora, lives up to the name. Once arrived, fellow drivers were presented with a wine tasting experience of Alentejo's wines paired with local smoked chorizo and ham. The perfect ending to a warm two hour trip.

  • Ponto 4

    Barragem do Alqueva

Often refered to "Mar do Interior" ("sea of the interior"), the Alqueva water dam is the largest in Portugal. Besides the amazing views and learning about the activities that one can develop there (stargazing, ballon rides and watersports at the dam), the roads leading there are just amazing: excelent tarmac and a very high probability of having a sunny day make them a reference for any car lover.

    Ponto 5

    Herdade do Esporão

After Alqueva dam the group headed to Herdade do Esporão to visit the homestead which is one of the most famous (if not the most) in Alentejo. Drivers and copilots had lunch at the homestead's restaurant with the same name, which only one year after was awarded one star by the reputed Michellin Guide.
